SaaS Monetization Strategy: Priceless Penny Financial Model

📍 Project Overview

This project analyzes the monetization strategy for Priceless Penny, an online learning platform offering professional and recreational development courses through a tiered subscription model. Completed as part of the Growth Product Manager Nanodegree from Udacity, this financial modeling exercise examined revenue optimization opportunities for a SaaS business experiencing declining profitability.

Priceless Penny operates with three subscription tiers (Basic: $100/mo, Professional: $250/mo, Premium: $500/mo) and relies primarily on paid search advertising for customer acquisition. Through comprehensive financial modeling and cohort analysis, I identified critical inefficiencies in both acquisition channels and customer retention, particularly within the Professional tier which demonstrated the highest churn rate (45%) despite strong revenue contribution.
